Over the years of their their long-standing personal and professional relationships they have achieved, through time and patience, a warm, well-rounded Jazz style.

Oliver Saar – Alto and baritone saxophone

Oliver founded Jazzable in 1995 after relocating from Bamberg to Berlin. By that time he had finished his studies at the Music Conservatory in Nuremberg including clinics with Bob Mintzer, John Ruocco, Vincent Herring and others. His professional career includes recordings with the Bavarian Radio, Deutschland Radio, and various TV productions. He’s also often played in classical orchestras, musical productions and saxophone quartets. In 2004 / 2005 he was hired as saxophone player and musical director at the „Witzigmann Palazzo“ in Cologne.

Roland Neffe – vibraphone

Roland has received numerous awards such as the “Berklee Talent Scholarship Fund“ and the “Würdigungspreis“ of the Austrian Federal Ministry. He also played in different bands at Jazzfestivals such as the World Drum Festival in Seoul, Jazz Across The Border (Berlin), Jazz East-West (Nuremberg), the Jazzfestival in Izmir and many more. He has lived and worked in Berlin since 1995.

Johannes Gunkel – acoustic bass

Johannes is originally from Essen and has completed his music degree at the Academy of Arts in Berlin. He’s participated in different Radio productions for the WDR, SWF and Deutschland Radio. Johannes performed at concerts with John Ruocco, the RIAS Bigband, Peter Weniger and Jan v. Klewitz. Johannes Gunkel is a leading light in the Berlin Jazz scene and makes regular stage appearances with various bands.

Nathalie Claude – vocals

Nathalie, who captivates her audience with her dark, soulful voice, started her career in Switzerland, Germany and The United States. It was in the U.S. where she completed her artistic education at the renowned Judy Davis Studio in Oakland, California. Sseveral years ago, she made the decision to settle in Germany where she not only performs as a singer, but also as an actress in theatre productions. In addition, she works as a vocal coach at the Jazz School Berlin.
